UKA Digital Platforms Update

Since Thursday 26th September, we have been experiencing technical difficulties with some of our digital platforms including the myAthletics portal and Athletics Hub.

We have been investigating the cause of these issues and can now confirm we have experienced an IT security incident. We’re taking this matter incredibly seriously and have enlisted the assistance of external security experts to help manage our recovery and investigate the impact.

Unfortunately, this incident, and the actions we took to contain it in line with our security protocols, resulted in some disruption for the sport across the UK, due to some of our integrated systems being unavailable. Areas affected included race entry portals, athlete registration, coaching and officials’ courses although our colleagues in the affected areas within the Home Country Athletics Federation set up some alternative processes to minimise disruption.

Our dedicated team have been working around the clock to restore our services swiftly and securely and we’re pleased to confirm that a number of those services are now available; competition providers can check the registration status of athletes entering events and apply for licenses, individuals are now able to book onto coaching and officials’ courses as well as other similar services.

We anticipate that the myathletics portal and club secretaries’ portal will be available in the next 24-48 hours and we are hopeful that we will be fully operational again within the week.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused and want to thank you for your patience and cooperation as we continue to work through this. We will communicate with further updates when we have them.
