There are still a few places available for coaches at a Masterclass with with Anatoly Chernobay, the renowned Russian pole vault coach, on Saturday 25 November at the UKA East Midlands High Performance Centre at Loughborough University.

Almost 30 coaches have already enrolled for the teach-in, entitled 'Technical and physical development of talented young vaulters', which starts at 11am at the Loughborough Indoor Athletics Track. Registration ends at 10.45am and the enrolment fee is £10.

Coaches wishing to secure one of the strictly limited number of places should contact Michelle Dunkley, the UKA Senior Coordinator for Field and Combined Events, by emailing mdunkley@ukathletics.org.uk or calling 0870 998 6778.

The event will be the third organised for the benefit of pole vaulters and coaches by UK Athletics with Chernobay, who is spending a fortnight at Loughborough with a group of his athletes.

He is also passing on advice to British athletes on the UKA’s lottery-funded World Class Programme such as Steve Lewis, Kate Dennison and Andy Marsh plus their coaches.

And he contributed memorably when a UK National Squad met at Loughborough University last weekend.
