Dame Tanni Grey Thompson wants your input into the review of UK Athletics' anti-doping procedures to shape a clear and consistent future policy that is robust and can co-exist with global laws laid down by the World Anti Doping Agency.

The review will focus of three key areas:

  • The policies and practices of UK Athletics surrounding anti-doping
  • The education of and ongoing communication to athletes and athlete support personnel (ASP); and
  • The penalties that UK Athletics is able to impose on athletes and their ASP under IAAF and WADA rules.

Central to the review are the thoughts, opinions and experiences of anti-doping of those involved in sport at all levels and you can enter a written submission to help the review board and play your part in future anti-doping policies.

Submissions should be of no more than 1500 words under the three key headings outlined above. Submissions can be emailed to antidopingreview@ukathletics.org.uk by 19 May 2008 or sent directly to Tanni and the panel at Athletics House, Central Boulevard, Blythe Valley Park, Solihull, West Midlands, B90 8AJ please mark Anti Doping Review clearly on the envelope and include your name and contact details on all correspondence.

There may also be the opportunity for oral submissions to the panel, please indicate if this is something you would be interested in taking part in.
