Women's Coaching Conference

Registrations are being taken for two major coaching conferences taking place this autumn.

Women’s Coaching Conference – Birmingham, 19th October 2013

Hosted by British Athletics in conjunction with the Women in Coaching Advisory Group, the 2013 Women’s Coaching Conference takes place at the Hilton Metropole Hotel in Birmingham on Saturday 19 October with all delegates receiving a ticket to the England Athletics Hall of Fame Dinner.

Speakers include Olympic 400m bronze medallist Katharine Merry, coach Marina Armstrong, British Athletics Wheelchair Coach Jenni Banks, British Athletics Development Manager Jo Jennings, combined events coach and former international heptathlete Julie Hollman, strength and conditioning coach Leah Dunthorne and nutritionist Mhairi Keil.

European Endurance Conference – Nottingham, 9-10th November 2013

British Athletics will host the second edition of the European Endurance Conference in Nottingham on Saturday and Sunday 9-10 November in conjunction with England Athletics and the British Milers Club.

The event, which forms part of the European Athletics Coaching Summit Series, will include a number of world-class speakers including Tomasz Lewandowski, coach of Polish 800m runner Marcin Lewandowski, Professor Yannis Pitsiladis of the University of Glasgow, Gjert Ingebrigtsen and Neil Cronin.

The conference will also incorporate the British Milers Club’s Gala Dinner on the evening of Saturday 9 November, which will feature a speech by former European and Commonwealth 5,000m bronze medallist Tim Hutchings.
