Power of 10
The results of a Power of 10 website analysis have shown that statistically speaking, the Under 20 Women are the most talented of the teenage athletes in the UK this year – with more than a little help from Under 17s! A total of 194 have achieved Power of 10 UK targets for Under 20 Women – an average of almost 13 athletes per event – and 44 of them are Under 17s. In the junior men’s rankings, 163 have reached the Power of 10 UK Under 20 targets this year – and there’s room near the top in 8 of the individual events.

These standards are compared with those at the top of European and World Junior rankings to give athletes, coaches and other interested parties an insight into where the UK stands with the generation most likely to be peaking when the Olympic Games arrive in London in 2012.
